Vision

Healthy food options and a layout geared toward enticing employees to eat healthier were key components of the vision for this space. Further, RDG wanted a space that looked and felt fresh, no matter what part of the world you were visiting from.

 

Design

A large fresh food bar is prominently placed in the servery. It is complete with an enhanced presentation of healthy food items and low-price points to encourage consumption at this station. RDG was also challenged to meet the corporate environmental standards for this European-based organization. The prevailing standards for energy use, water use, and food waste were far more stringent than any US regulating body.

 

Impact

The new $1.3M kitchen, servery, and cafe concept are part of a building delivered to the client to serve as the centerpiece of their North American operations. The building is designed to provide a high level of amenities, services, and collaborative spaces to employees across this campus.
